Frequently Asked Questions

Is your data GDPR & PECR compliant?

All of our data is GDPR and PECR compliant. Everything we collect is readily available on the internet and we do not share any personal data. Limited companies and certain partnerships can be contacted provided you have a legitimate business proposition and they are given an option to unsubscribe from further contact. Other types of companies can be contacted if they have subscribed and agreed to receive marketing emails (we do not provide contact details to these companies). To keep in line with regulations, we keep our data continuously cleansed and up to date by checking against the SRA on a weekly basis. We also provide our clients a URL source of where we found the information online.

Why choose Buy Legal Data?

There's many audience types within the UK legal sector and every supplier has their own key target audience, which we fully understand and are equipped for. No matter your niche, we can help you find prospects and their contact details. Our two Directors have over 15 years experience of working within the legal sector and over 25 years experience of sourcing and mining B2B data. We go above and beyond, to make sure you receive the best quality data.

How accurate is your data?

Our data has a much higher percentage of accuracy than what most data providers can promise. We keep our data cleansed and regularly re-verified to make sure it’s fully up-to-date. Verified against SRA means fewer bounced emails, less wasted outreach, and confidence that you’re contacting active, regulated legal professionals. We also frequently email contacts within our database and on average receive less than a 1% bounce back rate. If you sign up to one of our subscription packs then you can also ensure your data remains as accurate as ours over time.

Why is it important I keep my data up to date?

Keeping your data up to date helps ensure you are contacting the right people at the right firms, while avoiding wasted outreach and high bounce rates.Under UK GDPR, personal data must be accurate and kept up to date, so using outdated or incorrect records can create compliance risk as well as damage deliverability and campaign performance.

Which data fields do you provide?

The data provided will be business contact details. These fields can include (but are not limited to); First name, surname, job title, company name, website, branch address, postcode, number of fee earners, direct email address, source of email address, telephone number, practice area/s etc.

Are you registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)?

Although we do not handle personal data we are fully registered with the ICO (Tier 1) and have been since 26th August 2021. Our certificate can be shown upon request or can be located by going to https://ico.org.uk/esdwebpages/search and using the ICO reference: ZB179404Our ICO registration demonstrates our commitment to handling data responsibly, transparently, and in line with UK data protection requirements.
